M is for Museum is a new initiative by the Old Colony History Museum to encourage early literacy in our future historians by providing a sensory-friendly space to hear a story at the Old Colony History Museum. Books will be middle-elementary level and we’ll have a coloring station, Lego corner, and fidget boxes available, as well as a spot to take some space with a weighted blanket and headphones. Families of all ages are welcome to drop in on one, a few, or all our story times! January 4th February 8th & 22nd March 7th & 12th April 11th & 25th May 9th & 30th June 13th & 27th

Our February Flicks matinee series is back and each Saturday we’re showing movie adaptations of titles that we’ve read in our Old Colony Community Book Group! Snacks and drinks will be provided. Photo Scanning Day Bring in your photos taken in the Taunton area (people, events, landmarks, holidays, and more) and let us scan them for our digital collection. We'll give you back the originals and your images will become a part of OCHM’s photographic record of our community. Loose, unframed photos up to 11x17 inches can be scanned, limit 5 per person please!

Wednesday Workshop: Historic Valentines & Modern Love Learn the history of Valentine’s day while you make something sweet for your Valentine (or yourself!) We’ll do some traditional paper crafting and create tokens of love, friendship, and happiness. This 90 minute, hands-on workshop includes all materials and is limited to 20 people, age 10 and up.
