“Stabbed in the Back: The Life of Civil War Private James Gillispie” presented by Norman DuPuis and Irene Watson

Spend the afternoon at the Museum as we hear from Norman DuPuis and Irene Watson speak on their book "Stabbed in the Back: The Life of Civil War Private James Gillispie," a biographical novel based on the life of Irish immigrant, Civil War soldier, and great-great-grandfather of Mr. DuPuis, James Gillispie of Taunton. It is a tale of his call to serve his adopted country, the unusual injury he endured, and the battles he fought when he returned home to Taunton as a veteran.

This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served at 12:30 pm with the talk to begin at 1 pm.
