Easton was home to the Ames Shovel Company, the factory that provided most of the shovels for railroad expansion, the American Civil War, and the California gold rush. The Ames family not only shaped the town’s economy for the better, they left a legacy of landmark buildings designed by H. H. Richardson, the famed designer of Trinity Church in Boston. H. H. Richardson buildings in Easton include: The Ames Free Library,
 Oakes Ames Memorial Hall,
 The Old Colony Railroad Station, and The Ames Gate Lodge.

Beyond the important architecture, another treasure in Easton is Borderland State Park, which offers 20 miles of trails for walking, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and cross-country skiing. There are also six ponds for fishing, canoeing and kayaking. Other Easton family attractions include The Children’s Museum in Easton and the Natural Resources Trust's Sheep Pasture.

Mansfield is a mecca for sports fans as the town is right next to Foxboro with its popular Patriot Place and Gillette Stadium. Right up the road is Wrentham Village Premium Outlets, the largest outlet shopping center in New England! Enjoy the lovely, but affordable, hotels and restaurants in Mansfield and you can use your savings shopping! So you won't want to miss Mansfield Crossing, which is a frist-class walking mall.

If you are more a fan of the arts, in the summer you can head to the Xfinity Center for the Performing Arts. For more artistic entertainment, the Mansfield Music and Arts Society (MMAS) runs the Black Box Theater and the Morini Gallery.

Norton If you love golf, you'll love Norton! Plan to come Labor Day Weekend to watch the Duetsche Bank Championship-PGA Tour at the Tournament Players Club of Boston in Norton. If you have kids interested in golf, then the MGA Links at Mamantapett is a a must-see.

Animal lovers of all ages will appreciate the important work done at the Winslow Farm Animal Sanctuary, home to over 200 animals. The private park has guided tours, a playground, and trails open daily from 11am-4pm.
