Fall River Historical Society presents Palette Pictures VI, its annual exhibit and sale of works by local artists. Now in its sixth year, this popular event offers art lovers a variety of high-quality original art works at small prices. The 2014 event includes 60 pieces such as watercolors, oils, and sculpture to be sold in a silent auction. All works were donated by the artists and all proceeds benefit the FRHS. Partial views of some of the pieces are shown here.
Starting bids are half of what the artists valued their pieces. The exhibit can be viewed through December 22 from 9 to 4:30 Monday through Friday and from 1:00 to 5:00 on Saturdays and Sundays. Admission is free, and visitors can also view the Society's annual Holiday Open House with its display of dazzling themed Christmas trees and Echoes of Lizzie, the world’s largest exhibit of artifacts pertaining to the life and trial of Lizzie Borden.
