The Easton Tea Room is owned and operated by the Fall River Historical Society. Based in the historic 1870 Alexander Dorrance Easton house, the elegant interior features original period details, enhanced by magnificent fabrics and wall coverings by Jaima Brown Home. Tea is served in three intimate parlors.
The most popular offering is Victorian High Tea, which includes an extensive selection of Ashby’s famous English teas, a variety of tea sandwiches, savories, and delectable dainty pastries. Our heavenly scones, for which we are locally famous, are made from an early 20th-century recipe from the kitchen of Margaret Casey Dewaele that has been enjoyed by her descendants and their friends for over 100 years. Pastries include confections such as hand-decorated petit fours, mouthwatering shortbread, almond macaroons, and a variety of additional confections. Savories include flavored breads with cream cheese filling, tartlets, and traditional cucumber sandwiches.
The Easton Tea Room is located at 458 High Street in Fall River, adjacent to the FRHS museum building, and is available for rental for private functions such as bridal showers, baby showers, and birthday parties. It is open during the holiday season from noon till 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, from November 29 until December 30th. Reservations are accepted on the hour, from noon until 4:00 p.m.
