Old Colony History Museum: Native American Storytelling Drum Program

The Old Colony History Museum presents Native American Storytelling Drum Program. Many of us know storytelling is transfer by word of mouth but Native American folklore is influenced by Inter-Tribal songs and deep culture stories. The Awasos Aqueni tribe sings songs by ceremonialists; each song is significant to the Native American and the drum is the song’s heartbeat. The rich and deep tradition of the Native American storytelling allows this to be entertaining but as well as educational. These songs are still today a very important part of the Native American culture. Brother Granite has 20 years as an active Awasos Aqueni ceremonialist and a Native Story-teller. He unique Totem Bone Readings will take you on the guided journey to help you with your personal spiritual path. Watch and listens to the stories come alive with Brother Granite on Saturday July 23, 2016 at 11 AM at Old Colony History Museum located on 66 Church Green, Taunton Ma 02780.
