The Town of Fairhaven Visitors Center has brochures and maps about Fairhaven attractions, history, businesses and events as well as information about other nearby communities. It is open year round. Brochures for self-guided tours are available. There is also information about free guided walking tours held at various times and location throughout town. The museum of the Fairhaven Historical Society, Inc. is located the the same building and may be viewed by the public whenever the Visitors Center is open. Regular hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to Noon and 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.
On Monday mornings in July and August the Office of Tourism presents free outdoor children's activities and guest presentations at Monday Morning Fun, from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m., geared to children 5 to 12 and their parents or guardians.
On Saturday from mid-June to Labor Day weekend, the Huttleston Marketplace is held outdoors on the lawn of the Visitors Center from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sponsored by the Office of Tourism, vendors sell arts & crafts, antiques & collectibles, farm produce, and locally made food.
